The elements will burn with fervent heat.
2 Peter 3:
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the
night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great
noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the
earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned
up.
We used to sing the song, "Where Will I Be, When the great Trumpet Sounds?"
This is a good question to ask ourselves. If we have denied ourselves and embraced the
cross of Jesus, we will have no fear. If we have rejected and put off being reconciled
to God by the cross of Jesus we will be subject to God's wrath.
The only way to save your life is to lose it in the cross.
Mark 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it;
but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the
gospel's, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the
whole world, and lose his own soul?
Only you can assess your relationship to Jesus. Only you know if you have
fully accepted His provision for your salvation. If you have not, we beg of you,
"Be reconciled unto God!"
Jesus is calling and pleading. He has given absolute promises and assurance of
acceptance, if we will only come to Him and accept His sacrifice for us.
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye
shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice,
and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be
as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall
be as wool.
He loves you, He died for you, He's listening for your simple cry.
