When I was much younger, every time I left my father, I knew that his last words would be; "Keep looking up." At that time I was very concerned about making a living and I was also fighting the battles of the flesh. I was not looking up. Now when I read the Words of Jesus in Lu 21:28 I realize that the old boy had things in a much better perspective than I.

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

When I recently read that the powers that be had agreed to have a final solution for the status of Jerusalem by September of 2000; I looked up. When I consider the distress of nations with perplexity (Lu 21;25), such as is demonstrated in Kosovo and East Timor, I look up.

When I recall that the scripture said that in the last days men would be fierce (ITim.3:1-5) as shown with the recent wave of massacres, I look up.

When I see the Russian Bear began to raise up and growl, I realize that old Ezekiel knew what he was talking about and I look up.

When I see China rattling its sabres, I look up.

When I see a Laodicean that is more concerned about prestige and power that the teachings of Jesus about discipleship, I look up. This is just the beginning, I'm sure you can add to the list.
