About-Him Devotional 05-26-2001 http://about-him.com   Matthew 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.   When (hopefully not if ?) we get to heaven, we may be surprised at the seating arrangement around the throne of God. Most people will have never preached or sang before a large congregation, written a book or have had their names before the public. Some who are considered by men to be insignificant may well be the actual pillars in the kingdom of God. Such as: The one who enters into his/her closet in prayer as opposed to the one who prays for public effect and display (Matthew 6:5-6). The one who gives from need rather than the one who gives from abundance (Luke 21:3). The one who gives in simplicity (Romans 12:8) expecting no return (Luke 14:14), as opposed to the one who gives to be noticed (Matthew 6:2). The mentally and physically impaired who have a heart turned towards God and are often not taken seriously when they try to express their faith (Luke 14:21-24). I'm sure that you can add much more to the list!
