http://about-him.com/ The Word of God Under Attack Heb 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. I am so thankful that from childhood I was schooled in the word of God. Once it was implanted in my heart, it became like the seed in the Parable of the Sower. The seed took root and sprang up with fruit. It didn’t happen overnight but the process began and will continue until I leave this earth. Psalms 119:9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Psalms 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. Incidently the words, “Thy Word,” are found thirty three more times in Psalms 119. The Psalmist evidently felt it was very important, eh? The word of God is under attack in our high tech culture as never before. A well know TV personality who is noted for her generosity has begun to conduct internet training classes in what can best be described as classic new age deception. Two million people connected on March 17, and a mass trance was conducted. A lot of those who listened never had the opportunity that you and I had to have God’s word imbedded in their hearts and minds and are certainly open for satanic deception. Some Quotes in black type: “Man made God in his own image, the eternal, the infinite, and unnameable was reduced to a mental idol that you have to worship as your God or our God." Well that blows my mind! Somebody has it wrong. Either the proven word of God or the new age deceivers. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. “There is no sin, don’t make the mistake of clinging to the old rugged cross.” I wonder what they think accounts for all the murder and mayhem in the world? Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. “My mind is part of God - therefore I am holy - my salvation comes from me.” We are not a part of God, however by belief in His sacrifice on the cross, repentance of sin and regeneration of the Holy Ghost, we can become partakers of His divine nature II Peter 1:4). Big difference there. If I’m a part of God, watch out, this part malfunctions now and then. Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. “God is a feeling experience, not a believing experience. If God for you is about a belief, then it’s not really God.” John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. The question was asked of the teacher of the online course, “What happens when you die?” His reply, “I don’t give it any thought.” It seems to me that if he were a part of God, he would know the answer to that. My God was hung on the cross, but they couldn’t keep Him in the tomb. After three days He arose and appeared to many eyewitnesses. I would like to see any of us do that under our own power. I Timothy 4:1 ¶ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; We are definitely in the latter time my friend. Seducing spirits and doctrines of devils abound. There will even come a time when it will be possible for the very elect to be deceived by signs and wonders. II Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. However, we can rely on the words of our Savior. John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
