When Adam and Eve sinned, God cursed the serpent and promised that A Redeemer of the seed of Eve would bruise the serpent's head. Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. God repeated His promise of a "seed" to Abraham.
Genesis 12:1 ¶ Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from
thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
Abraham saw Jesus as the Lamb of God. Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. Jesus and John the Baptist confirmed it.John confirmed it.
John 1:29 ¶ The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb
of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Moses lifted up the serpent as a type of Christ at Calvary.

Moses saw Jesus as a Prophet.

This was preached by Peter at Pentecost. Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
The psalmist saw Jesus as the Chief Cornerstone.
Psalms 118.21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. This was confirmed by Jesus and Peter.
Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures,
The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner:
this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Acts 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders,
which is become the head of the corner.
The psalmist saw the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Psalms 118:26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD. This was fulfilled as Jesus entered Jerusalem.
Matthew 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying,
Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna
in the highest.
Luke 19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord:
peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
John 12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried,
Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Isaiah saw the millenial church with Jesus sitting as a Judge among nations.
Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the
LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted
above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
Isaiah saw Jesus as a Light to those who sat in darkness. The people of the regions mentioned were a great distance from the temple and had become lax in their worship of God.
Isaiah 9:1 ¶ Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation,
when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in
Galilee of the nations. Jesus fulfilled the prophesy of Isaiah by preaching in these far off regions.
Matthew 4:12 ¶ Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison,
he departed into Galilee; Isaiah revealed the incarnation. He saw Jesus sitting on the earthly throne of David. By using the titles "Everlasting Father" and "Mighty God" he denotes His Deity.
Isaiah 9.6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. The angel confirmed the words of Isaiah in announcing the birth of Jesus to Mary.
Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and
shalt call his name JESUS. Isaiah saw Jesus as the root of Jesse (The ancestor of Jesse and David).
Isaiah 11:1 ¶ And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a
Branch shall grow out of his roots: Jesus said He was both David's anscestor and descendant. Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Isaiah saw Jesus gaining victory over death. He also saw the future day when the Jewish nation would claim Jesus as their God.
Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from
off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth:
for the LORD hath spoken it. Hebrews and Revelation confirm the words of Isaiah.
Hebrews 2:14 ¶ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood,
he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy
him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall
be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
Isaiah saw Jesus as the Mighty God feeding His flock like a Shepherd.
Isaiah 40:3 ¶ The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the
LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Isaiah saw Jesus as the Just God and Savior to whom every knee will bow.
Isaiah 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath
declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I
the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour;
there is none beside me. Philippians confirms that all will bow to the Name of Jesus.
Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name
which is above every name:
Isaiah saw Jesus as the Servant of the Lord.
Isaiah 42:1 ¶ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth;
I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Isaiah saw the suffering of Jesus.
1 ¶ Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isaiah 53 continued:
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought
as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth

Isaiah saw the anointed Jesus and described His purpose and mission.

to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; Jesus claimed the words of Isaiah to be about Himself.
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to
preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set
at liberty them that are bruised,
Daniel saw Jesus as The Son of Man and the Ancient of Days.
Daniel 7:9 ¶ I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit,
whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne
was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came
with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near
before him.
Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of
the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
Zechariah saw Jesus bearing the glory of God.
Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying,
Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place,
and he shall build the temple of the LORD: He saw the triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Zechariah 9:9 ¶ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. Zechariah sees the pierced side of Jesus as that of God. Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. His nailed scarred hands will identify Him throughout eternity. Zechariah 13:6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. Jesus will reign as a King eternally, bearing the Name of God. Zechariah 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
A prophet issues a plea for God to come to earth.
Isaiah 64:1 ¶ Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down,
that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, I am thankful that Almighty God made provision for me even before creation. He condescended to earth in the form of a man. He bore the penalty for sin that He Himself has prescribed. He purchased my salvation with His own blood. The cry of the prophet was answered; God did indeed come down!
Luke 2:8 ¶ And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night.
