God is All Powerful (Omnipotent) God Demonstrated His Awesome Power at the Red Sea. Exodus 14:21 ¶ And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. In the Old Testament the exodus and parting of the Red Sea was the ultimate superlative used in describing of God's Power. Exodus 32:11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? In the New Testament the ultimate description of God's power is the resurrection of Jesus. Acts 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. Acts 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses Acts 3:15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. Nothing is Too Difficult for God's Power. Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Job 42:2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? 2 Chronicles 25:8 But if thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down. Jesus Demonstrated that as God He Knew All Things. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. God's is Soverign in His Power 1 Chronicles 29:11 Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. 2 Chronicles 20:6 And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? Psalms 115:3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. Psalms 135:6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places. Daniel 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? Praises of God's Power. Psalms 40:5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Psalms 139:18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Romans 11:33 ¶ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
